Senior Index Manager, Private Markets and Equity Indices Location:

You will be part of the Index Management and Production Group (IMPG) at S&P Global. The team produces and manages a broad range of indices covering global options, equities, futures, fixed income, commodity, digital assets, private markets, and economics indices. Your focus will be on managing and overseeing Private Markets and Equity indices, ensuring integrity and accuracy through thorough research and analysis. Impact:
As a Senior Index Manager specializing in Private Markets and Equity indices, you will contribute to the quality of S&P Dow Jones Indices (“S&P DJI”). You will research corporate actions, new issuances, and implement index changes. You will collaborate with internal teams to design and implement methodologies for Private Markets and Equity indices, monitor market trends, and coordinate with stakeholders to build awareness and profile of these indices through analytical research. Conduct thorough research on corporate actions, new issuances, and other market events impacting Private Markets and Equity securities. Explain highly complex index methodologies to stakeholders. Provide detailed analysis of recommended index changes to the relevant index committee. Ensure index changes are accurately reflected in methodology and communicated to stakeholders. Serve on various index committees, providing governance for S&P DJI branded indices. Assess potential methodology changes, manage governance review, and implement changes seamlessly. Participate in development and launch of new indices, including methodology application, feasibility, and system requirements. Stay updated on market trends, regulatory changes, and other factors affecting Private Markets and Equity markets. Provide subject matter expertise to internal and external stakeholders. Compensation/Benefits Information
Base salary range: $100,909 to $130,000. Final base salary depends on location, experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications. The role is eligible for an annual incentive plan and additional S&P Global benefits. What We’re Looking For
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required, focused in math, economics, finance, or related fields. At least 5 years of professional experience in Private Markets or Equity Indices, asset management, trade operations, or related roles. Demonstrable understanding of global financial markets, especially Private Markets and Equity dynamics, regulations, and best practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Python and process automation is a plus. Ability to work independently on multiple projects with initiative. Excellent analytical and quantitative capabilities on large data sets. Ability to learn S&P DJI’s proprietary index calculation platforms. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; coordinate work of multiple people or groups. Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or related field. CFA or progress toward CFA and/or CIPM certification. Experience with index management or financial data services. Familiarity with S&P DJI’s index methodologies and processes. Experience collaborating with global teams and managing multiple projects. Right to Work Requirements
