POSITION SUMMARY

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations, including inventory management, staff supervision, shipping and receiving, and maintaining safety standards. This role involves developing and implementing efficient processes to optimize productivity, minimize costs, and ensure the timely and accurate delivery of products. The Warehouse Manager is a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a commitment to operational excellence. The Warehouse Manager plays a crucial role in driving the success of the logistics team and supporting overall business objectives. This position is also expected to support the overall operation of Form Services, Inc., when needed. Certain tasks may be asked that do not fall into the essential functions of this job.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations Management :

• Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Develop and implement efficient workflows to optimize inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping processes.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and drive operational efficiency.

Staff Supervision and Development :

• Lead, mentor, and manage warehouse staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide training and development opportunities for team members.
• Schedule staff assignments and manage labor resources to meet operational demands.

Inventory Control :

• Ensure accurate inventory management through regular audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation of discrepancies.
• Develop strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce excess stock, and minimize stockouts.
• Implement and maintain inventory management systems and best practices.

Shipping and Receiving :

• Oversee the shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of deliveries.
• Manage vendor relationships and coordinate logistics for inbound and outbound shipments.
• Address and resolve any shipping or receiving issues, such as damaged goods or discrepancies.

Safety and Compliance :

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards, promoting a culture of safety within the warehouse.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and training sessions to educate staff on safe handling practices.
• Implement and enforce best practices for equipment use and maintenance.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in warehouse management software (WMS) and inventory management systems.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and analysis.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• A proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic, contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in warehouse management or logistics, with a proven track record of successful operations.
• Strong understanding of inventory management systems and warehouse management best practices.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods during the workday. Manual dexterity for using standard warehouse equipment and tools. Visual and auditory ability to perform essential functions, including reading documents and communicating with team members. Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally. Ability to work in a warehouse environment, which may involve exposure to noise and various environmental conditions.
