Position Purpose: The Program Assistant performs a variety of administrative, programmatic, and operational functions to ensure the efficient functioning of the Dartmouth-American University of Kuwait (D-AUK) Program. This position supports student and faculty exchanges, financial transactions, communications, and general office operations.

Required Qualifications — Education and Years Experience
Associates plus 3+ years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

This position is funded by a grant. Continuation is based upon available funds. This is a 12-month term position. Dartmouth College has a Tobacco-Free Policy. Additional Instructions
This is a one year term position with the possibility of renewal. This is a grant-funded position, and employment is contingent upon the continued availability of grant funding.
Key Accountabilities
Communications and Outreach — Prepares flyers, schedules events, and coordinates announcements and event information for distribution to students. Key events include the Annual Study Away Fair (October-November), the Annual Internship Fair (January), and Student Information Sessions (January).
Updates the D-AUK program website. Sets up/activates the internship application in Via TRM. Maintains and manages organized and accurate records and files.
Percentage Of Time: 25%
Outbound Student Application and Selection Support — Assists with the outbound student application, selection, and notification process for the undergraduate internship and exchange programs. Compiles and distributes application materials to selection committees (using Terra Dotta for exchange and Via TRM for internships). Schedules applicant interviews; reserves rooms/sets up Zoom meetings for interviews. Processes stipends for outbound students.
Percentage Of Time: 25%
Planning & Execution of Inbound Summer Programming — Provides administrative and logistical support for AUK summer interns, exchange students, and Faculty Fellow. Liaises with OVIS for J-1 visa processing, internship supervisors for position descriptions, and various Dartmouth units for lodging, dining, billing, and funding support. Plans, coordinates, and executes summer activities for visiting students and faculty.

Financial Administration and General Office Operations — Processes financial transactions, orders office supplies, maintains office equipment, coordinates IT and facilities service requests, and assists ED with budgeting and financial reporting.
