Pre-Sales Cybersecurity Solutions Architect We are seeking a talented individual for the Pre-Sales Cybersecurity Solutions Architect role. This is a full-time position. Candidates must live in the service area and report to one of our corporate office locations as needed to perform job duties. This role reports to the Director of Networking and Security. Base Pay Range $150,000.00/yr – $200,000.00/yr You will be working with a team of highly skilled account executives and consultants across a wide range of security disciplines, representing solutions from Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper, Fortinet, Okta, Aruba, Microsoft, and more. Your role is to leverage industry best practices in consultative selling to effectively position RSI as a premier provider of comprehensive cyber and network security solutions. More specifically, you will be responsible for working with our Account Executives, OEM partners, and professional services delivery partners to design, specify, and scope solutions for our customers. The work schedule is usually Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, with travel expected up to 30% of the time on weekdays. Occasional weekend work may also be required. Duties / Responsibilities Work with customers to design and scope new projects Develop bills of materials and solutions for customers Consult with customers on options and features required to meet business needs Present solutions and scopes of work to customers Develop and sustain a thorough technical understanding of network and cybersecurity technologies, including security frameworks, firewalls, SASE, endpoint protection, cloud security, identity and access management systems, etc. Design and planning on complex projects, integrating multiple technologies across multiple disciplines as part of a team of engineers Attend or participate in various product training sessions to broaden your skillset while maintaining RSI’s vendor relationships Meet with customers to consult and outline new technologies that improve and enhance their current environments Work with a cross section of the RSI team, including sales, engineering, and management, to complete tasks as required Attain and retain industry certifications as required Meet with customers, OEMs, partners, and RSI team members in-office, onsite, and remotely as needed to perform job duties effectively Other work-related duties as assigned Qualifications / Requirements Deep expertise in the cybersecurity landscape, including frameworks, market trends, major vendors, and solution architectures that align technology capabilities with business risk and compliance objectives. 3‑5 years of network architecture required Experience designing Cisco, Juniper, and/or Aruba networks Professional or Expert-level certifications from one or more of the following manufacturers are preferred: Cisco (CCNP/CCDP or CCIE Wireless preferred) HPE Aruba (ACP/ACX or preferred) Deployment or administrative experience with Cisco ISE or Aruba ClearPass preferred Palo Alto Networks Prisma and/or Cortex experience (PSE preferred) Microsoft Security product experience preferred (Defender, Sentinel, Azure MFA) Deployment or administrative experience with patch management solutions desirable (Automox or similar) Hands‑on experience deploying and or managing networks from one or more of the manufacturers listed above is highly desirable Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills Experience designing and/or managing complex network architectures required Candidate must be able to conduct research into issues and problems Candidate must be able to present ideas in user‑friendly language Candidate must be highly self‑motivated and self‑sufficient Candidate must be able to effectively prioritize tasks in a high‑pressure environment Prefer candidates who have worked in a solution provider or value‑added reseller environment Prefer candidates with presales experience Candidate must have a valid Driver’s license and vehicle insurance RSI offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package that includes group medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), life insurance/LTD, and PTO (Paid Time Off) for vacation, sick, and personal leave.
