Job Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated and organized Recruiting Specialist to join our HR team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding candidates while ensuring a positive experience throughout the recruitment process. Additionally, the Recruiting Specialist will play a key role in maintaining staff satisfaction, fostering engagement, and following up with new hires to ensure their success and retention.
Responsibilities
- Sourcing Candidates
- Proactively source candidates through a variety of channels, including job boards, social media, and employee referrals.
- Build and maintain a talent pool for current and future hiring needs.
- Screen resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates based on job requirements.
- Utilize advanced sourcing techniques (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search) to identify top talent.
- Interviewing Candidates
- Conduct initial phone screenings to assess candidates' qualifications, experience, and cultural fit.
- Coordinate and conduct in-person or virtual interviews with hiring managers and department leads.
- Provide candidates with information about the company, job expectations, and benefits during the interview process.
- Maintain a positive and engaging candidate experience throughout the interview stages.
- Onboarding New Hires
- Manage the onboarding process to ensure new hires have a smooth transition into their roles.
- Prepare and distribute offer letters, employment contracts, and other documentation.
- Assist with the completion of necessary pre-employment checks (background checks, drug tests, etc.).
- Coordinate new hire orientation and ensure all paperwork is completed, including tax forms, direct deposit setup, and benefits enrollment.
- Ensure new hires are introduced to the team and have the resources needed to succeed from day one.
- Ensuring Staff Satisfaction
- Maintain regular communication with new hires to ensure they are adjusting well to their new role and team.
- Address any concerns or issues that arise during the initial employment period.
- Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding questions about company policies, benefits, and job expectations.
- Follow-Up and Retention
- Check in with employees regularly to gauge satisfaction and gather feedback on their experience.
- Track retention and turnover rates and proactively work with managers to address any issues that may impact employee retention.
- Work with HR and management to implement employee engagement initiatives and improve overall employee experience.
- Assist with performance management and help facilitate employee development programs.
Compensation
$25 - $30 an hour
