Senior Software Engineer (CI/CD Automation) Our client, a leading provider of consumer credit services, has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer (CI/CD Automation) to work on a renewable contract opportunity. Work will be a hybrid onsite/remote schedule in Oakland, CA. The Senior Software Engineer will be the primary driver for our Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and automation strategy, crucial for accelerating our software delivery lifecycle and ensuring the reliability of every code deployment across the company.

Rate: $60 - $70 / hr. W2.

Responsibilities

Design & Scale CI/CD:

Architect, build, and maintain highly scalable and reliable CI/CD pipelines to automate the end‑to‑end software delivery process.

Pipeline Optimization:

Analyze and optimize existing release workflows to significantly improve deployment speed, efficiency, and stability.

Automation Development:

Develop robust, company‑wide automation scripts and infrastructure tooling using modern languages.

Cross‑Team Collaboration:

Partner with engineering teams to standardize deployment patterns and streamline the process for rolling out code and services.

Incident Resolution:

Troubleshoot and resolve complex pipeline and release infrastructure failures to ensure high availability.

Technical Leadership:

Champion DevOps best practices, security integration, and provide mentorship on automation and CI/CD principles.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in IT, cybersecurity, computer information systems, or related field.

5+ years of experience in a Software, DevOps, or Platform Engineering role, heavily focused on CI/CD.

Expertise with building and managing CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD).

Strong proficiency in Python, TypeScript, and Bash for automation and tooling.

Deep experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (e.g., Terraform).

Excellent understanding of software architecture, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), and deployment best practices.

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
