About the team Roku Ads Manager is our answer to the growing demand for streaming advertising. Our self‑serve platform just entered General Availability in September 2024 and has gained significant momentum. The team is small, fast‑moving, and focused on scaling the best streaming ad platform in the market.
About the role The Account Executive will lead demand generation and client growth for our self‑serve streaming ad platform. You will be responsible for building relationships with advertisers and agencies, ensuring successful onboarding, and driving ongoing revenue through consultative selling and upselling.
Key responsibilities
Prospecting:
Identify and target advertisers who could benefit from Roku Ads Manager, segment the market, and prioritize leads for maximum return on outreach.
Outreach:
Initiate contact with potential advertisers via email, platform‑direct messaging, calls, and social media to convey the value proposition of our platform.
Qualification:
Validate leads against the ideal customer profile and provide onboarding support to new advertisers.
Onboarding:
Assist qualified advertisers in account and campaign setup, answering questions and demonstrating best practices.
Nurture & Support:
Build long‑term relationships, optimize campaigns, gather feedback, and drive ongoing engagement.
Upselling:
Identify opportunities for additional features or services and collaborate with internal teams to maximize revenue.
Reporting:
Generate and share regular reports on key metrics, conversion rates, and platform success with management.
What you’ll be doing
Prospect potential advertisers and agencies who can grow on Roku’s self‑serve platform.
Manage the full sales cycle, from identifying and developing leads to closing business.
Operate at scale and prioritize service based on revenue potential.
Translate advertisers’ objectives into actionable results and champion investment in your platform.
Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders and provide feedback to improve product.
Desired qualifications
Working knowledge of the digital advertising marketplace, buying models, and technology.
2+ years in sales, growth marketing, or a client‑facing role; experience with ad networks or mobile gaming is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to craft personalized outreach and overcome objections.
Strong communication skills in phone, email, and video demos.
Ability to operate at scale using data‑driven execution.
Collaborative mindset; ability to work with cross‑functional teams and manage your own book of business.
Ambition to build a new line of business and continuously improve performance.
Curiosity and willingness to learn in a fast‑paced environment.
Growth‑hacker mentality, supporting brands of all sizes in building with streaming ads.
Compensation Estimated annual salary: $56,000‑$85,000. Salary and benefits are based on skill set, certifications, and geographic location. This role is eligible for incentive compensation/commissions, health insurance, equity awards, life insurance, disability benefits, parental leave, wellness benefits, and paid time off.
