Base pay range $130,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr

Job Summary The Director Finance/Accounting is responsible for the day-to-day operation of all financial related activities of the club including but not limited to—overseeing all accounts receivable/payable functions, banking, financial statement preparation, budgeting, account reconciliations, annual year-end audit, payroll and related tax filings and all other financial matters. Reports to General Manager, has 2 direct reports.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Oversees employees responsible for billing, collections, payroll, and accounting.
Implements internal control policies and procedures for all financial activities.
Duties/Responsibilities
Prepares monthly financial statements, activity reports, and forecasts.
Reviews and/or records all general ledger journal entries and performs general ledger maintenance as needed.
Ensures that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Responsible for all banking functions and maintains relationship with banking partners.
Responsible for accurate and timely billing statements to members.
Timely completion of monthly financial statement package and related Board materials.
Prepares and/or reviews monthly bank reconciliations and all general ledger account reconciliations.
Provides management with financial and statistical reports and prepares ad hoc financial analyses as needed.
Maintains accurate fixed asset listings and assigns appropriate useful lives; reviews and updates listing periodically for obsolete, impaired and/or disposed items.
Responsible for annual budget development and presentation to Board.
Responsible for all activities related to the external year end audit and tax return preparation.
Advises business unit leaders and assists with implementation of accounting and budgeting policies.
Confirms accuracy and oversees filing of quarterly and annual reports such as: Sales and Use taxes, Payroll withholding 941s, W-2s, 1099’s, FUTA, SUTA, MI Annual report etc.
Maintains knowledge of organizational procedures, federal and state regulations, and accounting standards.
Participates in applicable club and/or industry associations and network groups.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree Required, CPA a plus.
