Part-Time CDL-A Dedicated Backhaul Truck Driver

Job Description: Join our team as a Part-Time CDL-A Dedicated Backhaul Truck Driver, where you will be responsible for: Early AM dispatches Local route runs and drops Working part-time up to 27 hours weekly As a dedicated logistics driver, you will drive a tractor-trailer (day cab), tandem trailer, and/or straight trucks on both intrastate and interstate routes. You will pick up local loads and deliver them back to PFG warehouse locations for inventory reception. It is essential that you ensure timely pick-ups and verify the accuracy of the received products. Adhering to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety protocols is a top priority. Your primary responsibilities will include: Performing all duties in compliance with DOT regulations and company health and safety policies. Conducting thorough load and paperwork inspections, including product counts and quality checks. Accurately completing required paperwork for backhaul operations. Driving to designated supplier/vendor or PFG warehouse locations following a predetermined route and delivery schedule. Regularly communicating with your supervisor to confirm routes and schedules and report any drop-off or pick-up issues. Securing equipment and completing necessary documentation at the end of your shift. Displaying courteous and professional behavior at all times. Performing other related duties as assigned based on business needs. Qualifications: 2 - 4 years of commercial driving experience is required. A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and compliance with DOT medical requirements. Experience in the foodservice distribution industry is preferred.
