Two Skills Tech - (CT/XRay)- Weekend- Nights (Radiology- CRMH)
Up to $6.00/hour in shift differential/premium is available. Up to $30,000 new hire sign on bonus and $7,000 in relocation assistance is available. The multi-modality radiology technologist performs a variety of technical procedures for radiological diagnosis or treatment of patients, using injection skills as needed, and other related techniques to produce images for interpretation by a radiologist or other credentialed specialist. Experience: CT experience preferred. Fluoroscopy and OR experience are highly preferred. Licensure/Certification: AARRT registry, registry eligible. If not registered in CT, must become CT registered within 2 years of hire date. AHA BLS-HCP required; May be required to obtain/maintain BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP based on specific work unit. Responsibilities include: Operates highly specialized, technical equipment to obtain quality images. Performs IV contrast injections and other skills as required. May schedule and register patients. Maintain patient files. Evaluates, prepares, positions and observes patients with a high degree of professional ethics, care, courtesy, patience and safety. Complies with all Carilion Clinic and Imaging policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines. Trains students and staff as assigned. Interprets information needed to identify patient's requirement relative to specific needs and provides care per applicable policy and procedures. Interacts with patients, families, visitors and all members of the healthcare team to develop, coordinate and manage the plan of care. Works with physicians, other healthcare providers and patients. May provide care at other Carilion facilities to meet patient needs. What We Require: Education: High school graduate or GED. Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology, other associated imaging technologies, or other approved training in Angiography, Diagnostic Radiology, Computerized Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine or Ultrasound required. Experience: None Licensure/Certification: ARRT registry, registry eligible or other required certifications per modality as listed. AHA BLS-HCP required. In the following areas, modality specific registries are required to be obtained within time specified below: Mammography must obtain registry within 24 months MRI Technology. Certified/registered by the ARRT in MRI or certified/registered in an Imaging profession by the ARRT, NMTCB or ARDMS or a candidate for the MRI advance certification by meeting the ARRT candidate requirements. 2 years to complete advanced MRI certification. Breast Ultrasound must obtain registry within 24 months Other: Interpersonal, technical skills and flexibility in assignments. Must be able to function independently.
