Delivery Specialist at O'Reilly Auto Parts
Overview The Delivery Specialist will maintain and operate store vehicles to deliver parts and/or products to professional customers in a safe and efficient manner. This position will also collect money on C.O.D. deliveries and pick up customer returns. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
Use delivery fleet management handheld devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, complete daily vehicle inspections, and related tasks.
Keep vehicles clean, maintained, and complete daily vehicle inspections prior to operating.
Keep delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, handheld devices, and monies collected secure at all times.
Pick up customer returns (new, warranty, cores, etc.) and fill out driver return slip.
Communicate customer needs or problems to store management.
Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage to the store manager immediately.
Ensure fuel tank is filled and secure the vehicle at end of day.
Clock in/out according to company policy.
Occasionally assist customers, serve as a cashier, and/or help with merchandising tasks when business dictates.
Perform other duties as assigned, including customer service, stocking, merchandising, and related tasks.
Qualifications
Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing delivery situations.
Driving record must meet the standard set in the company\'s 14/18-point record system.
Must possess a legally required state driver\'s license and meet company driving eligibility requirements.
Desired
Familiar with automotive parts.
Ability to operate other light store equipment.
Multilingual abilities (Spanish highly desired).
