CDL Driver (On-Call Winter Work)

DCS Asset Maintenance (DCSAM) is recruiting reliable CDL drivers to help keep Virginia roads clear and safe during winter weather. This is an on?call position needed only during inclement winter weather.
What Youll Do
Operate snowplow trucks safely and responsibly during winter storms.
Follow all DOT, OSHA, and company safety rules.
Conduct pre? and post?trip vehicle inspections and report any issues immediately.
Communicate with your Route Manager or Dispatch regarding unsafe situations or service needs.
Attend required safety meetings and training sessions.
Assist other drivers or routes as needed.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be 18 or older. Valid Class A or B CDL. Pass a DOT drug screen and MVR review. Clean driving record no serious violations or multiple accidents within the past 5 years. Willing to travel to snow locations and stay for the duration of the event (hotel, travel time, and per diem paid by DCS). Prior snowplow experience is helpful but not required. Must attend an 8?hour in?person snow training before the season starts. Work will be needed depending on winter weather events determined by VDOT.
Additional Information
$35/hour
pay rate Overtime opportunities available during extended snow events/travel. Paid travel time, hotel, and per diem for out?of?town work. Rewarding, hands?on work with a supportive team.
