The itinerant teacher also provides consultation and technical assistance to staff working with students with visual impairments. The Orientation and Mobility (O&M) Specialist teaches orientation and safe travel skills at a developmentally appropriate level to visually impaired students. Additionally, the O&M Specialist will orient and train staff members. Qualifications: IL Professional Educators License (PEL) with an endorsement for a Teacher of Students Who Are Visually Impaired.
