We are seeking a dedicated professional to play a crucial role in guiding our engineering and business teams in implementing top-tier cybersecurity practices. In this position, you will:
- Effectively communicate cybersecurity guidelines to facilitate adoption across engineering and business units.
- Work closely with engineering teams to provide advice on architecture decisions and assist with the implementation of cybersecurity controls.
- Identify and mitigate cybersecurity risks through thorough threat modeling of products and enterprise tools.
- Offer expert cybersecurity architecture consulting across major programs and solutions.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity peers to foster a united cybersecurity department and relay pertinent information to internal teams.
- Partner with enterprise architecture and infrastructure teams to assess existing architectures, pinpoint gaps, and recommend necessary security enhancements.
- Engage in security events and incident response to identify current design vulnerabilities and propose effective solutions.
- Educate product and enterprise architects, as well as engineers, on cybersecurity best practices and standards.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure that our cybersecurity architecture meets relevant regulatory and contractual requirements.
- Utilize AI technology to create, validate, and improve architectural artifacts.
- Lead initiatives to design AI-enhanced solutions and establish robust AI governance frameworks.
- Evaluate vendor tools with AI for improved assessment speed and accuracy.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field with 6 years of relevant experience, or a combination of advanced degrees and experience.
- At least 4 years focusing specifically on cybersecurity.
- Experience in designing, securing, or operating AWS infrastructure and services.
- Ability to communicate cybersecurity policies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Exceptional customer service, writing, and executive presentation skills.
- Collaborative mindset to work with key stakeholders and integrate best practices across teams.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and a proactive approach to driving change within organizations.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., ISO 27000, NIST) and relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, FFIEC) that influence architectural requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience in creating and implementing cybersecurity standards across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Knowledge of IAM, cryptography, access controls, and security protocols such as multi-factor authentication.
- Competency in application security practices and methodologies.
- Recognized expertise in technologies including Python, .NET, Java, Oracle, and cloud services.
- Understanding of firewall and network architecture including DMZ setups.
- Familiarity with the AWS Well-Architected Framework and cloud solutions in AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience in industries critical to national infrastructure is a plus.
- Big four consulting or Fortune 500 company experience preferred.
- Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or AWS certifications.
Compensation:
Annual salary ranges from $119,600.00 to $199,400.00, with potential additional compensation through incentive programs.
