Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Vascular Technologist for a weekday role utilizing ultrasound imaging technologies in a busy peripheral vascular lab.
Responsibilities Work in a peripheral vascular lab specializing in vascular ultrasound evaluations Perform procedures for carotid, abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA), resting and exercise ABI, renal, upper and lower extremity, hemodialysis graft, vessel mapping, reflux, mesenteric, and pseudo aneurysm examinations Regular schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Patient population includes adults with diverse vascular conditions Doppler and physiologic testing are regularly performed Role includes daily preparation and efficient turnover of procedure rooms and equipment Responsible for preliminary reporting and communicating acute findings to the care team Troubleshoot equipment and report issues promptly Record and maintain patient information, data, and reports in relevant storage systems Prepare and organize procedure and exam rooms efficiently throughout the workday May participate in staff training and education Background check and drug screening must be completed through a designated vendor prior to start
Requirements Minimum of 4 years' experience as a vascular technologist or sonographer Associate’s degree in Sonography, Radiology, or completion of a 12-month ultrasound program Current certification is required: RDCS or RVT (ARDMS), or RCS, ACS, or RCCS (CCI) Active CPR certification Demonstrated competency in pre- and post-procedure patient assessment and care License required if applicable
