Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist with ARRT (R) and Maryland license for a day shift at a busy IR department.
Responsibilities Work in an interventional radiology department specializing in advanced vascular and non-vascular procedures Day shifts, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Call is required as part of the regular schedule Patient caseload includes angioplasty, IVC filter procedures, and special procedures using Siemens equipment Charting is completed in Cerner EMR Advanced skills such as aortography, chemoembolization, paracentesis, stent and endograft placement, and central venous access are preferred Scrubs are provided by the facility First-time travelers are accepted for this position Team practices strict sterile techniques and works collaboratively during procedures Modules must be completed prior to start and during orientation as required Local candidates accepted within a 60-mile radius at a local rate Previous employees must have a minimum 1-year separation before returning as a traveler No more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract is highly preferred, with no RTO allowed during the first two weeks
Requirements Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist Current ARRT (R) certification required; ARRT VI preferred Maryland state license required (license required if applicable) Experience with special procedures including angioplasty, IVC filter placement/removal, fluoroscopy, and prep/scrub using sterile technique Familiarity with Cerner EMR preferred Two supervisor references required
