Job Description American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and trauma level 1 exposure for a night shift travel assignment.
Responsibilities Acute care setting in a trauma level 1 environment CT unit with 8 treatment areas handling a mixed patient population from pediatrics to geriatrics Work schedule is Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM with call requirements Variety of studies performed including CTAs, cardiac, perfusion, and a busy OR and ER imaging caseload Department uses Siemens CT equipment and Bracco contrast injectors EMR system is Epic; PACS system is McKesson Floating may be required between main campus and UC campus (stand-alone ER) Overnight techs may be asked to perform both CT and X-ray procedures Department is fast-paced with high acuity patients across all age ranges Role requires a proactive, team-oriented technologist who can manage multiple priorities and take initiative Floating to other imaging modalities (MRI, X-ray, Ultrasound) may be required depending on departmental needs Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility, determined by driver’s license address Not eligible if employed full time, part time, or PRN by any facility associated with CommonSpirit (including CHI or Dignity) within the past year Upfront request for time off (RTO) is limited to 7 days per 13-week contract; additional RTO will not be approved Holiday coverage may be required as needed Artificial nails are prohibited; refusal to comply will result in contract termination Radiation badge provided by the facility
Requirements Minimum of 2 years experience as a CT Technologist Trauma level 1 experience required Prior travel assignment experience required Active state license required if applicable; pending licensure not accepted Current BLS and ARRT (R) required; ARRT (CT) certification preferred Proficiency in venipuncture and ability to handle shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment Experience with Siemens CT scanners and Bracco contrast injectors preferred Must submit a copy of driver’s license for consideration References required: one supervisor from the past 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the past 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility
