Position Overview We are seeking a Sr. Commercial Escrow Officer for our growing Chicago team. This hybrid role is open for candidates local to Chicago, with remote work available for those outside the metropolitan area.
What You’ll Do
Grow and service the business by providing outstanding customer service.
Complete simple and complex commercial real‑estate escrow transactions by determining requirements and acting as a neutral liaison between buyer, seller, and lender.
Work cross‑functionally with underwriting to monitor and mitigate risk to the company.
Ensure all funds are properly accounted for and disbursed in accordance with contract terms.
Prepare closing documents, including final closing statements and title, and ensure adherence to delivery dates and timelines.
Prepare regular reports on escrow account status and provide these reports to all parties involved.
Prepare legal documents for the sale closure.
Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
What You’ll Bring
Experience leading teams, managing workflows, or training escrow staff.
4–6 years of escrow‑related experience, preferably in a commercial setting.
Passion for helping customers while maintaining a professional and positive attitude.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with internal and external customers.
Strong problem‑solving, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
Escrow officer certification or willingness to obtain certification as required by state.
Comfortable with technology and proprietary software programs.
Team‑player who thrives in collaborative environments.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Pay Range $34.68–$46.21 hourly (reasonable estimate at time of posting; based on factors such as knowledge, skills, experience, business needs, and geography).
