As a Project Engineer, you’ll help lead the technical, logistical, and administrative backbone of each construction project. You’ll bridge communication between the field and office to ensure smooth coordination and timely delivery. Dig into design details, site data, and reports to keep work aligned with specs and standards Keep project budgets and cost projections on target through smart analysis and tracking Coordinate subcontracts, purchase orders, and project documentation with the PM team Prepare and manage submittals for site‑specific items such as storm water prevention, traffic control, and excavation plans Manage field documentation – from logs and USA tickets to daily photos and reports Work closely with vendors and subcontractors to keep schedules and materials on pace Contribute to project kickoff and coordination meetings to set goals and expectations Maintain a rolling three‑week look‑ahead schedule with field leadership Track production updates, assist with change orders, and support accurate reporting Verify labor hours, materials, and cost codes for efficiency and accuracy Support completion of as‑builts, closeout packages, and warranty documentation Keep communication flowing between clients, inspectors, and the project team What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline () 2+ years of relevant civil or underground utility construction experience is () Strong organizational, analytical, and documentation skills Proficiency with construction software such as Bluebeam, Primavera P6, and MS Excel Understanding of project sequencing, cost codes, and safety compliance Excellent written and verbal communication with a professional, client‑facing demeanor Hands‑on aptitude, accuracy under pressure, and a passion for field coordination A hungry, humble, and proactive mindset with a strong work ethic and ownership mentality The ability to adapt easily to change, stay calm under pressure, and excel in dynamic, fast‑moving environments Commitment to learning, collaboration, and producing work that reflects quality, integrity, and service Your Core Impact
