Tax Manager

Base pay range $140,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities
Manage and review complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts
Research and resolve complex tax issues while providing proactive tax planning strategies
Maintain and strengthen client relationships through ongoing communication and exceptional service
Supervise, train, and mentor junior staff and senior accountants
Monitor engagement budgets and deadlines, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
Stay current with tax legislation and compliance regulations affecting clients
Assist with internal process improvements and firm-wide initiatives
Qualifications
CPA license required
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s in Taxation a plus
Minimum of 5 years of recent public accounting experience
Strong technical tax knowledge and familiarity with California tax law
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Experience managing staff and client engagements
Proficient in tax software (e.g., ProSystem fx, Lacerte, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite
