Focused Post Acute Care Partners (FPACP) is a dynamic company committed to excellence in long‑term care delivery. We are seeking a Maintenance Director to lead our maintenance program and support our culture of recognition through the ROCKStar program.

Position Summary Responsible to plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the maintenance program and its services, including grounds maintenance. Direct or perform duties related to plumbing, painting, carpentry, mechanical, heating, cooling, water systems, minor electrical, and maintenance of grounds, parking lots, driveways, sidewalks, security, transportation, and other facility equipment.

Qualifications

Ability to communicate effectively with verbal and written instructions in English.

Ability to identify maintenance problems, plan and follow through to their solution in a timely manner.

In‑depth understanding of physical plant maintenance requirements.

Prior long‑term care experience preferred.

Knowledge of state and federal guidelines.

Experience estimating maintenance and repair costs.

Essential Functions

Ensure resident safety.

Repair minor electrical malfunctions and install new equipment.

As a plumber, assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and sewer systems; clear clogged drains.

As a carpenter, repair and maintain buildings, floors, roofs, stairways, partitions, doors, windows, and other structural elements.

Operate hand and power tools such as saws, drills, routers, and sanding machines safely.

Maintain all tools and machinery in good condition and use them as instructed.

Develop and enforce high safety standards across the facility.

Coordinate annual fire safety inspections with local fire departments and address any deficiencies.

Ensure facilities and grounds comply with regulations, agency standards, and fiscal considerations.

Develop, implement, and review site‑specific maintenance logs.

Ensure major equipment and furnishings are safely maintained and replace them when necessary.

Maintain equipment records and logs.

Establish procedures for timely minor repairs on equipment.

Coordinate annual fire safety training for all residential services personnel and residents.

Use the agency maintenance van appropriately and maintain it properly.

Promote positive public relations with patients, residents, family members, and guests.

Communicate tactfully in sensitive and emotional situations.

Adhere to dress code and workplace behavior at all times.

Physical Requirements Ability to safely perform movements such as pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodations.
