Cloudshape is looking for a highly motivated, customer‑oriented Server Ops Lead Systems Engineer to oversee server operations, drive system reliability, and lead technical initiatives to ensure high availability and performance across on‑premises and cloud environments.
Primary Duties
Lead day‑to‑day server operations, including deployment, monitoring, patching, and troubleshooting of Linux and Windows servers.
Design, implement, and optimize server infrastructure for reliability, scalability, and security.
Automate routine tasks using scripts and configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or PowerShell).
Manage virtualization and cloud environments (VMware, Hyper‑V, AWS, Azure, OCI).
Serve as a technical lead and mentor for junior system engineers and support staff.
Collaborate with network, storage, and application teams to ensure seamless integration and uptime.
Maintain system documentation, perform audits, and support compliance requirements.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
5+ years of experience.
Ability to work independently, multi‑task, and communicate effectively.
U.S. citizenship with an active Secret security clearance.
Strong expertise in Linux and/or Windows server environments, virtualization, and cloud platforms.
Experience with automation tools and scripting for system management.
Solid understanding of networking, security, and backup/recovery practices.
