Chief Operating Officer (COO) – DDL Advertising Location:

East Providence, RI (Hybrid)

Overview DDL Advertising, a full-service, Rhode Island–based agency known for its creative storytelling and data-driven results, is seeking a dynamic

Chief Operating Officer (COO)

to help lead the agency into its next phase of growth. This seasoned yet forward-thinking leader will partner closely with the Founder to oversee daily operations, strengthen internal processes, and drive performance across departments — from account management and creative to media, digital, and project execution.

Key Responsibilities Agency Leadership & Operations

Oversee all day-to-day agency operations, ensuring alignment between teams and departments.

Streamline internal systems for project management, time tracking, and resource allocation.

Develop and enforce workflows that maximize efficiency and profitability.

Lead staff meetings, set priorities, and ensure deadlines are met across all active accounts.

People & Culture

Manage and mentor department leads (Account, Creative, Media, Digital, and Production).

Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.

Support hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations in partnership with HR/leadership.

Client & Project Oversight

Provide high-level oversight on key client relationships and ensure client satisfaction.

Review scopes, timelines, and deliverables to maintain excellence and budget discipline.

Partner with the account and creative teams to ensure strategies align with client goals.

Media, Strategy & Growth

Collaborate with leadership to shape long-term business strategy and new revenue opportunities.

Oversee paid media planning and execution, ensuring performance and ROI across platforms.

Guide the development of integrated marketing strategies rooted in analytics and industry trends.

Evaluate partnerships, vendors, and tools that enhance the agency’s capabilities.

Financial Management

Work with leadership to manage budgets, profitability, and forecasting.

Monitor team utilization rates and resource allocation to ensure balanced workloads.

Assist in new business development, proposal reviews, and pricing strategy.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in advertising, marketing, or communications (agency experience required).

Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams.

Strong understanding of traditional and digital media landscapes.

Exceptional organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

Proficient in modern project management, marketing automation, and reporting tools (e.g., Asana, ClickUp, Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, Looker Studio, QuickBooks, etc.).

Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to balance creative thinking and operational rigor.
