AST Security organization is seeking an
Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM)
for a classified program at our Maryland Office facility in Annapolis Junction, MD. This is an onsite position.
About AST AST is a leading provider of tactical SIGINT solutions, focusing on high‑capacity broadband communications, signal processing, and adaptive communications. Our engineers develop secure solutions for U.S. and partner nations.
What You Will Do
Lead RMF/JSIG/DAAPM execution—design secure solutions, prepare authorization packages, brief Security Control Assessments, and drive POA&M closure.
Own continuous monitoring—vulnerability & patch management (ACAS/Nessus, SCAP, STIGs), log analysis (Splunk), account management, media control, incident response, and annual self‑inspection.
Shape program decisions—embed with PMO to define security requirements and embed secure‑by‑design input at PDR/CDR/TRR stages.
Develop people and process—coach ISSOs/ISSEs, refine SOPs, track metrics, and present status to senior leadership.
Interface with external stakeholders—represent the team to DCSA, SAPCO, and other security agencies.
Travel 0–10% domestically.
Qualifications You Must Have
B.S. in STEM or related field; minimum 5 years of cyber security experience, including 5 years in DoD/IC as an ISSM or equivalent IAM‑III (CISSP, CISM, GSLC).
Proven delivery of ATO for SAP or SCI systems; prior enterprise ISSM experience.
Active TS/SCI security clearance required prior to start; U.S. citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
Leadership experience with multi‑disciplinary teams and ATO delivery for SAP/SCI.
Expertise in NISPOM, JSIG, RMF, ICD‑503, DAAPM, DevSecOps pipelines, Zero Trust, IAM.
Hands‑on with ACAS, STIG Viewer, DISA SRGs, SIEM/Vulnerability tools (Splunk, Nessus).
Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, CS, or related field.
Certification: CISSP‑ISSEP, ISSMP, PMP.
TS/SCI clearance within last 24 months.
