Our client, a world leader in consumer electronics, is looking for Senior System / Software Test Automation Engineer based out of Sunnyvale, CA. Job Duration: Long Term Contract (Possibility To Convert Full time)
Summary We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a background in Systems Test. In this position, the Systems Test Automation Engineer will be responsible for testing, monitoring and sustaining software solutions. This role would be a part of the Operations Engineering team and is responsible for assuring the next generation of products can be delivered in a way that will continue to delight customers.
Responsibilities
Design test plans and define test strategies
Build, enhance and maintain test automation system
Enhance and maintain build and release system
Modify and execute tests for validation of hardware and software features
Work with Electrical and Mechanical engineers to root cause and resolve hardware and fixture issues
Provide test reports to engineering, operations, and management
Key Skills / Experience
BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
Excellent knowledge of software testing methodologies & practices
Proficient with Bash, Python, or similar scripting language is required
Understanding of networking and operating system concepts is required
Understanding of C/C++/Objective C code is a plus
Understanding of Data Analysis would be a plus (Ex: Panda, Numpy)
Passion for hardware debugging and identifying root cause
Collaborate closely with Operations, Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering and other teams to achieve team goals
