Job Summary As a Staff System Engineer, you’ll be the go-to person to roll out and maintain business critical applications and services for Supermicro. You are also responsible for resolving escalated service issues, coaching other engineers to resolutions, engineering and implementing complex projects. You will be a person who is independent with leadership to drive the technical development and with excellent communication skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
Deploy cluster/storage infrastructures and perform the tests accordingly
Leads the day-to-day operational support for Cluster, Storage, HPC/Ai and Cloud infrastructures
Builds and tests complex cluster and cloud platforms to meet customer's requirements
Documents complex test procedures and troubleshooting procedures related to servers/networks/clusters software and hardware
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and provide fixes in a timely manner
Conduct tests and benchmarks against server hardware, storage, network, applications, HPC and Machine Learning workflows
Collect, visualize, and analyze test and benchmark results
Write technical documentation including test report and standard operating procedure
Write script to automate tasks including cluster deployment and test environment
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline or equivalent work experience
12+ years of Linux/Network administration skills with proven troubleshooting and optimization skills
Familiar with TCP/IP protocol stack, UDP, IPv4/IPv6, DNS, DHCP and other Application level protocols
Familiar with HPC, AI or Cloud benchmark tests, networking architecture
Experience with Visualization technology, AI workload testing and cloud computing
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Working independently under aggressive timeliness
CCNA/CCNP, AWS, COA or RHCE certificates is a plus.
Positive attitude, desire to learn, time management, and strong interpersonal skill is a plus
Be willing to travel to customers data center as needed
Salary Range $160,000 - $185,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
