What Impact you'll make

Our Commissioning Engineer has a focus on project deliveries at construction sites to install and commission our Mark V1e controls systems to start up new gas power combined cycle turbine with purpose. Your contribution in the commissioning activities is key in achieving operational readiness and securing final acceptance before transitioning / delivering the power plant to our Commercial GEV One Service Team to manage.

What You’ll Do:

Participate in installation/commissioning, trial runs, and acceptance testing of the GEV MarkVIe control system for combined cycle turbines at the power plant sites as assigned.

Work on installation to commissioning and from commissioning to customer handover, ensuring compliance with procedures and documentation standards.

Perform pre-checks, energization, and network verification of the Mark VIe control system, ensuring communication and functionality across all devices.

Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, review logic against engineering documents, and implement HMI screen modifications and alarm configurations.

Test equipment, including inspection, usage tracking, and timely return.

Provide technical feedback to engineering and project teams, contributing to continuous improvement while on long term assignment.

Basic Requirement

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or technical college (or a high school diploma / GED and at least 4 years of related experience)

Minimum 2 years of experience

Desired Characteristics

Knowledge of communication protocols: Modbus, Foundation Fieldbus and Profibus with strong analytic and problem‑solving capability.

Field service experience related to controls – circuits

Electrical engineering preferred

Other Eligibility

Available to travel for long term assignments (100%) at construction sites within the U.S. – actively participating skillfully at the site where assigned focusing in the execution of the commissioning activities guided by the leaders in the field to completion.

Long‑term assignments offer daily living allowances based on a corporate policy; should you be selected and satisfy the background checks required.

For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $69,600.00–$104,400.00 USD annually. This position is also eligible for a 5% variable incentive performance bonus.

The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. This position will stay open on the career website until at least Nov 8th 2025.
