CT Technologist $10,000 Sign‑On Incentive (2025-1236) Valley Medical Center is inviting applications for a CT Technologist who will receive a $10,000 sign‑on incentive.

This full‑time position supports our Radiology department with evening coverage and advanced CT imaging responsibilities.

Job Overview This role reports to the Radiology Manager and works under guidance from Lead Technologist, Manager, Director, and Radiologists.

The technologist performs CT procedures, ensures quality imaging, maintains radiation safety protocols, and provides exceptional patient care in a fast‑paced, outpatient environment.

Key Responsibilities

Greet and prepare patients for procedures.

Review physician orders and patient information, including questionnaires for accuracy.

Explain procedures to patients and review histories with attending radiologist prior to scanning.

Perform intravenous injections as required.

Assist physician with invasive procedures.

Set up scan rooms and equipment and perform CT scans.

Provide quality diagnostic scans in a timely manner.

Document any reactions or incidents related to the patient’s visit.

Report any scanner problems immediately to the lead technologist.

Be available to work after hours to accommodate referrals.

Follow radiation protection standards.

Set up procedure trays using aseptic technique.

Provide CT and X‑ray images as instructed by physicians and digitize to PACS system as required.

Transfer patients to and from the CT scanners and the C‑arm table.

Inventory, order, and stock linen and medical supplies, including those for the crash cart.

Keep the work area safe and clean.

Accurately complete billing and patient information.

Know the location of safety and emergency supplies and equipment at all times.

Accurately complete all required forms and paperwork.

Attend all required meetings and perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification required.

CT certification required within 12 calendar months of hire.

Current Washington State Radiologic Technologist certification required.

Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers required.

Full‑time CT technologist with a minimum of one year of experience preferred.

Excellent customer service skills in an outpatient environment.

Experience in vascular imaging preferred.

Multi‑channel scanner experience preferred.

Screening CT experience preferred.

Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.

Proof of exceptional work performance.

Flexibility and adaptability.

Ability to set priorities, work accurately, and organize work efficiently.

Effective oral and written communication skills.

Bilingual preferred.

Past history of demonstrated good attendance.

Demonstrated behavior consistent with Valley Values and Performance Guidelines.

Physical and Mental Demands Requires teamwork, lifting and carrying up to thirty pounds, manipulating patients, standing and walking quickly, bending, reaching overhead, and moving swiftly under changing conditions.

Requires precise typing, legible handwriting, excellent telephone skills, and the ability to use lead aprons (~20 lb) and operate X‑ray equipment.

Regular and punctual attendance is a condition of employment.
