One of Vaco’s Clients is seeking a pro‑active and collaborative Accounting Manager to join their team. The Accounting Manager will oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations, financial reporting, and cost accounting within a growing, global manufacturing organization. This hands‑on leader will ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency while developing team members and improving financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP/IFRS.
Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and consolidated financial statements.
Oversee A/R, A/P, and general ledger functions.
Lead audits and support external tax and compliance requirements.
Cost Accounting & Operations
Manage cost accounting processes for inventory, raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
Analyze margins, monitor inventory accuracy, and support annual physical counts.
Ensure accurate sales/use tax reporting and remittance.
Leadership & Process Improvement
Mentor and develop accounting staff to achieve department goals.
Drive process improvements, system enhancements, and reporting accuracy.
Partner with finance and operations leadership on budgeting and variance analysis.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including cost accounting in manufacturing.
2+ years of supervisory experience.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and multi‑currency accounting.
Advanced Excel and ERP skills (Chempax experience preferred).
CPA/CMA or Master’s degree a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
Up to
$140k base
