Associate Director of Career Programs
Position within the Division of Development & Alumni Relations. Permanent role. Not sponsor visa. Open until filled, priority to applications by November 2, 2025. Applicants should submit a cover letter, resume, and three references.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate university‑wide Career programming including Bootcamps, Learning Cohorts, Networking Dinners, Conferences, and the Arch Ready Professionalism Certificate.
Coordinate outreach and strategies to engage students across satellite campuses and UGA Online Learning.
Supervise a team of Career Consultants and graduate assistants.
Leverage data‑driven insights to develop long‑term programming; conduct assessments, maintain dashboards.
Plan and execute Career Fair prep, job search training, and student support events.
Collaborate with faculty, administrators, and alumni for career services.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent and 8 years of professional experience.
Master’s degree in higher education, student affairs, counseling, or related field (preferred).
Experience designing and leading high‑impact career programs.
Strong understanding of career development theory and labor‑market trends.
Record of developing, executing, and assessing career initiatives at scale.
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
Exceptional project‑management and organizational skills; ability to prioritize multiple initiatives.
Proficiency with career‑services technologies (e.g., Handshake) and data‑informed decision making.
Additional Requirements
Professional experience in career services or related area.
Experience supervising staff and delivering high‑impact programs.
Familiarity with career assessment tools (e.g., MBTI, CliftonStrengths).
Ability to manage multiple complex projects concurrently.
Benefits and Eligibility Full‑time schedule 8:00 am–5:00 pm; may work evenings or weekends as needed. Salary $74,880.
Physical Demands
Work in a standard office environment.
Travel in and out of state as necessary.
Sit and work at a computer workstation for extended periods.
Use electronic mail, telephone, face‑to‑face discussions, and paper correspondence.
Communicate effectively in writing, speaking, and listening.
Organize and establish priorities; multi‑task.
Lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
Walk, stand, stoop, climb.
