We are hiring an HSE Specialist for Belgium for our Business Unit Service. Although this is a hybrid role, you will work from both our offices, your home office and performing site visits across Belgium depending on business needs. Our Belgian offices are located in Zaventem. You are the Spoc for business and external stakeholders as well as employees with regard to HSE in Belgium, and you will answer directly to the Local Service Unit Manager Benelux.
Activities pertaining to the environment (including the larger community affected by environmental hazards) and employees are included in general environmental and employee health and safety work.
Your responsibilities
You will develop and implement policies and practices to identify/mitigate hazardous conditions within the workplace and external environments. You will investigate accidents and environmental incidents and liaising with engineers, management, and health and safety regulatory authorities to identify causes of accidents and prevent their recurrence. You will provide advice and training on safety protocols and conducting site audits to ensure compliance with organization and government standards related to environmental and employee health and safety. You will maintain relationships with the community, environmental groups, and other stakeholders impacted by the environmental performance of the organization. Your background
You hold at least a "preventie adviseur" certificate level 2, we will take care of further training and certification to level 1. You have 3 years of experience in an HSE role, preferably in the energy sector. Experience in (High Voltage) electrical engineering environment would be meritorious. You have experience working in an international company. Being proficient in both Dutch, French, and English.
