Mane Energy
Join a high-performance motorsport engineering environment where innovation, precision, and collaboration drive every design. This role is ideal for a forward-thinking engineer who thrives on technical challenges and delivering world-class component designs from concept to release.
Key Responsibilities
Drive Advanced Design : Develop complex 3D models and detailed technical drawings for chassis, suspension, and surface components using industry-standard CAD tools (CATIA V5 preferred).
Take Ownership : Manage the full design cycle-assign, review, and execute tasks to ensure timely, high-quality outcomes.
Collaborate for Optimisation : Partner with calculation and simulation engineers to validate and optimise designs for performance, safety, and durability.
Deliver Engineering Packages : Finalise and release complete design documentation, ensuring compliance with internal processes and standards through PLM systems (ideally Windchill).
Systems Integration : Work closely with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure all components contribute to fully integrated and high-performing systems.
Support Across Teams : Step in to support other departments when needed, contributing to a collaborative and flexible design office culture.
Apply Engineering Expertise : Utilise theoretical and practical knowledge of mechanical engineering and material science—especially in composites—to solve complex technical problems.
Design for Efficiency : Ensure parts are engineered for straightforward assembly and maintenance, working closely with workshop leaders to streamline processes.
Composite Development : Create and refine ply books in collaboration with composite and FEM engineers to support efficient and robust composite manufacturing.
Prototype Involvement : Provide hands‑on support during prototype production and testing, ensuring alignment with design intent.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related discipline.
2-3 years of experience in a high-performance engineering environment.
Strong foundation in composites, with deep knowledge of materials science and mechanical design principles.
Proficient in CAD software (CATIA V5 strongly preferred).
Experience in surface design is a significant plus.
Familiarity with PLM systems (Windchill experience beneficial).
Highly self‑motivated, with the ability to work independently and under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
