We seek to employ a full-time Heavy Equipment Mechanic for our shop located in Leesburg, FL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, servicing, and maintaining our dredges and various construction machinery. Responsibilities include inspecting engines and equipment, providing services, carrying out repairs, and furnishing regular maintenance to our construction fleet.

We will train experienced mechanics to apply their skills in our specialized field of dredging.

Requirements

• Diagnose defects in a wide range of heavy machinery such as trucks, skid steers, excavators, dredges, pumps, and other related equipment by operating and assessing them.
• Adjust, replace, and repair faulty parts, clean, lubricate, and provide routine maintenance on all equipment.
• Set up maintenance and service records for all industrial machines and equipment.
• Report any malfunctions or damages to the management team promptly.
• Work in extreme weather conditions, both outdoors and indoors.
• Move quickly in response to signals and observe details at near and far range.
• Have specialized experience on project sites and be able to complete tasks with or without direct supervision.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must pass a background and drug screening.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Understanding of hydraulics and demonstrated work experience as a diesel or heavy equipment mechanic.
• Must be able to lift 75 lbs and be physically capable of doing construction work.

Compensation: $38 hourly.
