Job Description

Position Summary: The Waste Disposal Technician is responsible for the proper disposal of process waste, unused laboratory samples, and spent chemicals in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and company SOPs. They safely transport waste within the laboratory, document procedures, and maintain accurate records.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Adhere to local safety practices and company PPE protocols.
• Identify waste streams and maintain satellite accumulation points for laboratory waste.
• Empty satellite containers into bulk containers and return them for reuse.
• Dispose of unused samples and process wastes per regulations.
• Maintain ambient sample storage and disposal areas that are clutter‑free and hazard‑free.
• Coordinate pickup of hazardous waste with the EHS manager.
• Document and track waste volume for EHS reporting.
• Implement strategies to minimize waste generation.
• Assist other departments as needed.

Qualifications

Basic Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and documentation practices.
• Ability to work in a chemical environment.
• Follow SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Lift, carry, and move 25–50 lbs. regularly.
• Adhere to Eurofins Safety and Exposure Procedures.
• Professional proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship.

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

• 2+ years of experience in environmental science, preferably in a laboratory setting.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Pay Range

$18.54 – $22.00 per hour
