Electrical Engineer
to support the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) and the F/A-18 & EA-18G Fleet Support Team (FST) at Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW) in San Diego, CA. This role involves working on avionics and electrical systems for military aircraft, ensuring their performance and reliability. Responsibilities:
Research, design, modify, and test electrical and avionics systems for F/A-18 and EA-18G aircraft. Develop technical documentation, such as Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Technical Directives (TDs). Create detailed instructions, drawings, and work packages for technical manuals and fleet documentation. Provide on-site support for validation, verification, and installation of equipment. Troubleshoot issues, document deficiencies, and recommend solutions to improve system integration and performance. Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in electrical or avionics engineering roles. Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Active security clearance. Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and ability to develop clear documentation. Experience with military aircraft systems, especially F/A-18 and EA-18G platforms, is highly preferred. Compensation and Benefits:
Full-time, onsite position in San Diego, CA, with a salary range of $100,000-$130,000 annually. Benefits include 401(k), paid holidays, PTO, medical/dental/vision, life insurance, disability coverage, wellness programs, and tuition assistance. Work Details:
