Student Success Retention & Recruiting Coordinator
Position Summary
The Student Success Retention & Recruiting Coordinator operates out of the Undergraduate Student Services Office in the School of Business. This 12‑month, full‑time role coordinates student recruiting initiatives for prospective undergraduate students considering the School of Business and supports student retention, specifically focusing on First‑Time Full‑Time Freshmen. The coordinator engages cross‑functional teams, leverages data to assess recruitment effectiveness, builds relationships with high‑school and community‑college counselors, and provides front‑line support and outreach to first‑year students to promote academic success.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate all recruiting initiatives for prospective undergraduates seeking admission to the School of Business.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with faculty, staff, admissions, and advising teams.
- Host recruitment events and collaborate with external partners to provide prospective students with comprehensive information.
- Leverage data metrics to assess the effectiveness of recruitment efforts and identify improvement opportunities.
- Build and sustain relationships with counselors at local high schools and community colleges.
- Identify at‑risk first‑year students, connect them with campus resources, and provide proactive outreach and advising.
- Support the Summer Business Institute and coordinate related community engagement events.
- Actively participate with the Undergraduate Student Success Team to achieve cross‑functional goals guided by equity and inclusion best practices.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) with 1–2 years of related experience in higher education.
- Experience providing coaching, counseling, mentoring, or advising to students.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively under limited time pressures with colleagues.
- Prior experience working in student recruiting or retention.

Compensation & Benefits
Starting annual salary: $57,000 (subject to negotiation based on experience, market, and internal equity). The position offers a comprehensive benefits package including 95% premium‑paid health care, a generous retirement and vacation program, and reduced tuition rates for employees, spouses, and dependents at Oregon university system schools.
