The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a
System Administrator
to support operations and maintenance (O&M), limited research and development (R&D), and procurement of data/information processing capabilities on the SCION IV contract. You will get to work with an interdisciplinary engineering team, supporting the dynamic United States Space Force Space Operations Command (SpOC). You will provide engineering expertise across a varied set of hardware, software and mobile equipment. Communicate highly technical information to all levels of the USSF command teams and subordinate units. You will have the opportunity to work with both co-located and remote engineering teams across the globe, along with providing on-site support to exercise events throughout the year.
Responsibilities:
You will get to research, implement, and deploy tools in a continuously evolving operational environment.
You will work with a team of software and hardware engineers to bring newest COTS and open-source technologies into the DOD.
Design, Build, and deploy bare metal and VM based hardware environments in support of software developers and systems to be deployed to customer locations
Patch existing RHEL/CENTOS environments
Implement new tools to support software development, process automation, and patch management
Install, configure, test, and deploy network switches and firewalls
Deploy developed tools and techniques
Installs, configures and tests software package
Support to Application/Database application migration activities.
Design/Configuration of Storage Technologies
Development of scripts for automation of build-out and configuration of virtualized systems
Qualifications:
Required
Security+ Red Hat Certified System Admin (RHCSA) or ability to earn within 6 months of start
College Degree (BA/BS) or minimum 3 years of related work experience
Experience with system administration, installation, testing and optimization
A current TS/SCI clearance is required. CI Polygraph may be required for Special Access Programs (SAP).
CentOS/RHEL/Fedora Administration Versions 6, 7, 8, and 9
Experience building and maintaining LDAP/IPA/IDM servers
Puppet 4/5 & Cobbler
Spacewalk/Satellite - building/updating/maintaining
Docker/Openstack
A willingness to learn, teach and share information in a co-located and remote team environment
Desired:
Familiarity with HP hardware and firmware upgrade
Web/java scripting is helpful
Experience with RMF process
RedHat certified engineer (RHCE)
Understanding of the OSI model and networking principles
Understanding of DOD acquisition practices
Understanding of signal analysis
Knowledge of Intelligence Community (IC) processes, policies and guidance
Familiarity with Cisco networking equipment
