Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Workday Integration Developer to design, build, and maintain integrations across Workday HCM modules and third-party systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in Workday Studio, EIB, and Core Connectors, combined with a solid understanding of Workday's data structures, reporting, and security model. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions while ensuring system reliability, data integrity, and compliance with best practices.
Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain Workday integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Cloud Connector, and BIRT. • Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and IT teams to gather requirements and deliver end-to-end integration solutions. • Design and maintain custom reports and dashboards using Workday Report Writer. • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to integrations, configurations, and reporting. • Conduct unit, system, and end-to-end testing to ensure quality and performance. • Ensure data integrity, system security, and compliance with organizational and Workday best practices. • Document technical specifications, maintain detailed system documentation, and support release management. • Stay current on Workday releases and assess their impact on existing solutions. • Provide after-hours on-call support as needed.
Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. • 5+ years of experience in Workday development and support. • Expertise in Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and Cloud Connect integrations. • Strong understanding of Workday HCM, particularly Benefits, Compensation, Talent, and Payroll modules. • Familiarity with Workday Security Model, Calculated Fields, and Report Writer. • Workday Certifications (Integration, Reporting, or Studio) are highly preferred.
Technical Skills • Object-Oriented Programming (OOP): Java, Python, or Scala. • EIB & Workday Tools: Experience creating and maintaining Workday integrations. • XSLT & XML: Skilled in data transformation and integration logic. • Web Services & APIs: Proficient in REST/SOAP integration. • SQL & Data Analysis: Strong understanding of data structures and query design. • Microsoft Macros: Excel/Word macros for automation and data handling. • .NET and Azure DevOps / Octopus: Experience integrating with Finance platforms. • Software Design & Debugging: Ability to design, test, and troubleshoot complex integrations. • Testing & Quality Assurance: Ensures integrations meet performance and security standards.
