The Children's Center of Hamden is seeking a

Clinical Therapist

for our SSTRY (Substance Screening, Treatment, and Recovery for Youth) program. In this role, you will provide clinical services, coaching, and case management to youth and families affected by substance use, working directly in homes and community settings. You'll support treatment goals, connect families to essential services, and foster resilience and recovery.

What You'll Do

As

SSTRY Clinical Therapist , you will: Provide individual, family, and group therapy aligned with A-CRA and ACC evidence-based models. Complete CRA/ACC training and maintain model fidelity. Collaborate with youth, families, and community partners to assess readiness for change, set achievable goals, and connect to services. Collaborate with youth and families to assess readiness for change and set achievable goals. Maintain timely, accurate records including service plans, case notes, and discharge plans. Participate in program meetings, trainings, and community events. Demonstrate cultural sensitivity, uphold professional boundaries, and contribute to a safe and respectful environment. Perform other duties as assigned to support program success. What We're Looking For

Bilingual in English/Spanish required. Ability to obtain clinical licensure (LADC, LMFT, LMFTA, LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LPCA) in the State of Connecticut Master's degree in Social Work (MSW), Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT), Counseling, or related field. 1-2 years of clinical experience with youth and families, preferably in behavioral health or substance use treatment. Knowledge of adolescent substance use, behavioral health, and recovery-oriented interventions. Ability to engage clients therapeutically and design interventions to promote positive change. Physical & Work Environment Requirements

Ability to perform light to moderate lifting, standing, walking, bending, and other physical tasks as needed. Potential exposure to bodily fluids and other environmental hazards in a residential and community-based setting
