As a
Mechanical Engineer II , you'll apply your expertise in
mechanical engineering design
to deliver innovative and cost-effective
HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems
for building projects. You'll manage project deliverables, mentor junior engineers, and serve as a client-facing engineer, ensuring technical quality and successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Design
mechanical building systems
including
HVAC systems, plumbing design, and fire protection . Perform
load calculations, equipment selection, ductwork/piping layouts, and energy-efficient design solutions . Develop
construction drawings, specifications, and permitting documents
using AutoCAD and Revit. Conduct
QA/QC reviews
for compliance with building codes, ASHRAE, NFPA, and RTM standards. Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers, and contractors. Conduct
site surveys, field inspections, punch lists, and construction administration services . Manage project
timelines, budgets, and client communication . Mentor junior mechanical engineers and designers in
HVAC and plumbing design software tools . Support
business development
by contributing to proposals and client presentations. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
(required). 3-5 years of mechanical engineering experience
in HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection design. Proficiency in
AutoCAD and Revit MEP . Strong knowledge of
building codes, ASHRAE standards, NFPA standards, and construction processes. Excellent communication and coordination skills. EIT certification or PE license preferred. Travel
Light travel (0-10%) for
site surveys, client meetings, and construction support .
