Job Title:

Tax Preparer – Business & Personal Returns (5+ Years Experience)

Location:

Hollywood, FL (in-office preferred; surrounding areas considered)

Compensation:

$30/hour – $55/hour (based on experience)

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Tax Preparer with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience preparing both business (1120, 1120S, 1065) and individual (1040) income tax returns. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable handling multi-state tax situations.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership income tax returns, including multi-state filings.

Gather and organize financial data from clients to ensure accurate filings.

Research and resolve tax notices or discrepancies.

Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all client interactions.

Stay up to date with federal and state tax law changes.

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience in both personal and business tax preparation.

Strong knowledge of federal, California, and Florida tax laws (experience with other states a plus).

Experience with tax preparation software (e.g., Lacerte, Drake, UltraTax, ProSeries) preferred.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

CPA license or EA credential preferred, but not required.

Schedule:

Full-time or seasonal (depending on candidate availability).

On-site in Hollywood, FL (some flexibility possible).

Compensation & Benefits:

$30/hour – $55/hour based on experience and qualifications.
