Senior Project Leader

, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. In this role, you will make an impact by driving successful new product introductions (NPI) and commercialization initiatives across cross-functional teams.

Your Impact

Leading teams for Product Development and Commercialization

Leverage your expertise in project management tools and techniques to lead multiple cross-functional NPI teams from concept through launch using 3M's NPI framework-defining scope, milestones, and deliverables while ensuring on-time, high-quality results that meet customer needs.

Building High-Performing Teams

Build, motivate, and guide high-performing teams through clear direction, empowerment, and accountability. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, performance, and continuous improvement

Maintaining Close Stakeholder Alignment and Engagement

Develop and execute communication and risk management plans that ensure visibility, transparency, and proactive alignment across cross-functional stakeholders, including business/marketing, laboratory, quality, regulatory, manufacturing, and supply chain.

Building Networks and Leveraging Global Resources

Cultivate strong partnerships and networks within ASD, across 3M, and with external suppliers and customers to accelerate delivery of differentiated solutions to the market.

Mentoring and Developing Others

Serve as a mentor and coach to team members and peers-sharing best practices in project leadership, NPI processes, and cross-functional collaboration. Champion project management excellence through training and knowledge sharing.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start).

Eight (8) years of manufacturing, product engineering, and/or product development experience in a private, public, government or military environment.

Three (3) years of experience in project leadership.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

Advanced degree in a science or engineering discipline from an accredited institution

Three (3) years of project management and/or PMP Certification

Experience with Agile/Scrum project management methodologies

Knowledge of the 3M Grow NPI framework and software

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Knowledge of six sigma methodologies and tools

Experience leading teams and systems for continuous improvement

Work location: On-site, 4-days a week

Maplewood, MN

Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Maplewood, MN

at least 4 days per week

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international travel

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $164,612 - $201,193, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
