is working with one of the largest
Wealth Management Firms
in the state of Arkansas to help them find a
Small Business Controller / Bookkeeper
for their organization. They are open to title depending on the candidate and their experience level. This is an exciting opportunity to join a premier wealth management firm in
Little Rock, Arkansas .
This is an independent role that will oversee all accounting for the firm, so they must be self-motivated. The role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial data, manages all day-to-day accounting processes, and partners closely with the leadership team on financial reporting, intercompany allocations, and payroll administration. This position combines hands-on accounting, financial reporting, HR support, and light operational management. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, accountable, and proactive in maintaining consistent financial processes across multiple affiliated entities.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all monthly, quarterly, and annual bookkeeping and financial statements for multiple affiliated entities
Track and record all revenue streams and insurance commissions on a daily/weekly basis
Prepare and process payroll and related journal entries on a biweekly basis
Maintain accurate reconciliations of all bank accounts and credit cards
Record monthly loan payments and intercompany transactions ensuring balances remain current
Manage all accounts receivable and accounts payable functions
Coordinate with external tax advisors and liaise with third-party providers as needed
Manage HR tracking functions such as PTO reporting, new hire onboarding documentation, and benefit enrollment updates
Support quarterly salary adjustments and maintain employee files
Collaborate with firm executives on workflow optimization and partner financial distributions
Assist on other special projects as assigned my Executive Management
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
3-7 years of bookkeeping or small business accounting experience; Financial Services or professional services background a plus
QuickBooks Experience required
Proficiency with general ledger and payroll systems, and comfort with journal entries and reconciliations
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple entities simultaneously
