Caring Contact Position Description: Part-Time Grant Writer (6-8 hours a month) Reports to: Executive Director Reporting to the Executive Director, the PT Grant Writer is responsible for agency foundation and civic organization fundraising activities. Characteristics Passionate about mission Dynamic Professional Able to instill enthusiasm about Caring Contact Excellent communicator and presenter, both written and oral Excellent relationship builder Good planning skills Works well with others Persuasive Tactful and diplomatic Able to maintain confidentiality Detail and deadline oriented Prerequisite Must be 21 years of age with a college degree 5-10 years non-profit grant writing with a proven record of success Excellent narrative writing skills Must sign an oath of confidentiality Responsibilities Development Operations

Maintain Donor Perfect database of foundations and civic organizations Timely Gift Entry and Thank You letters/receipts

Familiarity with Constant Contact a plus Familiarity with Canva a plus Familiarity with Donor Perfect a plus Grant Writing

Maintain current activity of proposals and reports - 2025 plan has 33 proposals and 12 reports. Review and update guidelines and deadlines regularly. Research opportunities for funding expanded community outreach & training & collaborations with other organizations. Additional community outreach & training proposals Collaborate with staff as necessary for program development, budgeting, and reporting
