Associate Director, Digital Product Stewardship - ChemistryPosition Summary We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Associate Director to lead digital product stewardship for chemistry-related data and workflows across the Aedifica Fortis (AF) portfolio. This role will serve as a critical bridge between medicinal chemistry teams, digital product owners, data governance, and platform engineering to ensure that chemistry data is FAIR, interoperable, and analytics-ready. The successful candidate will drive the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of digital solutions that support compound registration, assay data integration, and decision-making across discovery and early development. Key ResponsibilitiesDigital Product Stewardship - Serve as the chemistry domain steward for digital products supporting AF endpoints, ensuring alignment with enterprise data governance and digital strategy. - Partner with product owners and platform teams to define requirements for compound registration, ELN, LIMS, and assay data systems. - Champion the adoption of digital tools and workflows that enhance data quality, traceability, and reusability across the chemistry value chain. Data Standards & Governance - Define and maintain standards for compound, reaction, and assay metadata in alignment with FAIR principles. - Collaborate with ontology and metadata leads to ensure consistent use of controlled vocabularies and identifiers (e.g., GUPRI). - Monitor data quality and integrity across systems, coordinating remediation efforts as needed. Cross-Functional Enablement - Act as a liaison between medicinal chemists, informatics, IT, and data governance teams to surface pain points and co-create solutions. - Support onboarding, training, and change management for new digital capabilities within chemistry teams. - Represent chemistry needs in enterprise-wide digital forums and AF governance bodies. Strategic Impact - Translate AF program goals into actionable digital and data priorities for chemistry. - Contribute to the roadmap for digital chemistry capabilities, including AI/ML readiness and integration with translational endpoints. - Track and report on key performance indicators related to data stewardship, system adoption, and user satisfaction. Qualifications - Advanced degree (PhD or MS) in Chemistry, Cheminformatics, or related field. - 8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical R&D, with at least 3 years in digital product stewardship, informatics, or data governance roles. - Deep understanding of medicinal chemistry workflows, compound data lifecycle, and cheminformatics tools (e.g., ChemAxon, Revvity, Certara). - Proven experience implementing or supporting ELN, LIMS, compound registration, or SDMS platforms. - Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills across scientific, technical, and business domains. - Familiarity with FAIR data principles, regulatory compliance, and data privacy in R&D settings. Preferred Skills - Experience with ontology development, metadata modeling, or semantic data integration. - Exposure to AI/ML applications in drug discovery. - Track record of leading cross-functional digital initiatives in matrixed organizations.

U.S. Base Salary Range: $153,600.00 - $241,340.00
The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
