Job Description:
Candidate to deliver hearing and speech services required by students' Individualized Education Programs (IEP) and/or Section 504 Plans during our Extended School Year (ESY) program. The individual shall provide services to students in a special education classroom. The individual must have knowledge regarding or experience with students with significant emotional and behavioral disabilities, including cognitive delays. Strong behavior management and leadership skills, and the ability to modify curriculum to meet students' needs, are required. The individual must be a team player and work collaboratively with support staff. The candidate should have experience with behavioral management strategies and the ability to supervise support staff. Therapeutic Crisis Intervention for Schools (TCIS) training is preferred. The individual must have or be eligible for appropriate teaching certification upon hire. Regular attendance and dependability are required. Candidate will be responsible for maintaining attendance log and completion of program summary for each student on caseload. Other responsibilities may be assigned. Assignment is subject to change.
Requirements:
NYS Certification-Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities; NYS License as Speech Language Pathologist.
Anticipated Salary:
$54,000-$92,000 commensurate with experience
