Multi-Estate Manager
Location: San Francisco Peninsula
Compensation: $250,000-$275,000 annually, commensurate with experience + benefits
Schedule: Monday-Friday, generally 7:00am-5:00pm, with flexibility for evenings and weekends as needed. This is a high-level role supporting a fast-moving household, and the Principal values candidates who willingly offer adaptability to the rhythm of the day.
Experience Required: Minimum 5 years in a similar private service role, with at least 3-4 years of longevity in previous positions.
This is an on-site position. There is no remote or hybrid option.
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Multi-Estate Manager to oversee the daily operations of a large private residence in the Bay Area (Peninsula), along with two additional Bay Area properties. The manager will focus on these Bay Area residences while coordinating remotely with the teams overseeing out-of-state homes in Montana and Hawaii.
This full-time, hands-on leadership role requires exceptional organizational ability, a refined eye for detail, and the capacity to think both strategically and tactically. Key Responsibilities Property & Staff Management Oversee all daily household operations across three Bay Area residences Supervise, train, and support a team of six household staff, ensuring clarity, accountability, and cohesion Coordinate with off-site teams managing out-of-state properties Ensure homes and grounds are maintained to the highest standard, with preventative schedules in place Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers Systems & Organization Maintain and refine all household manuals, inventories (wardrobe, art, wine, etc.), and emergency preparedness protocols Oversee operational technology platforms and smart home systems (My2N, Verkada, Honeywell, Command, Lutron, Nest, Control4, Sonos, Pentair, Sunflower Labs, Nines, etc.) Conduct regular walkthroughs and audits to identify areas for improvement or attention Personal Support Oversee care of wardrobe, personal items, and household belongings Coordinate with the Executive Assistant, housekeepers, and others to ensure seamless lifestyle support for the principals Project Management Partner with architects, designers, and contractors on renovation and maintenance projects Track timelines, budgets, and quality standards across all active initiatives Hospitality & Service Anticipate and support the principals' evolving needs with discretion, professionalism, and efficiency Collaborate with the chef and household team on dinner parties, guest stays, and special events Vehicle Oversight Manage the care, registration, maintenance, and detailing of household vehicles Delegate day-to-day vehicle tasks while maintaining oversight of quality and readiness Compliance & Safety Ensure all properties are compliant with local building codes, safety regulations, and health standards Maintain clear protocols for emergency readiness and household safety Candidate Profile
Ideal candidates will have:
At least 5 years in a senior private household or estate management role A consistent employment history, including 3-4+ years of tenure in previous positions Experience supervising and developing household staff of 5+ team members A leadership style rooted in emotional intelligence, consistency, and professionalism Strong judgment and the ability to set and hold respectful boundaries A highly organized, systems-driven mindset and the capacity to balance big-picture thinking with day-to-day follow-through Familiarity with modern smart home technology and estate management platforms A poised, courteous demeanor and a calm, grounded approach to high expectations and shifting priorities Compensation & Benefits
