Washington, DC 20433 (4 days/week onsite with possibility of complete onsite)
Job Functions: Perform Project Management functions within CLIENT ITS and related non-ITS departments, following PMBOK principles Gather project scope and requirements Understand business technologies and be effective in coordinating with CLIENT teams, vendors, and clients across multiple units. Business technologies components applications such as cloud applications, SaaS, PaaS, etc. Develop detailed project plans and schedules for each assigned project (typical project activities may include requirement gathering, design and specifications, budgeting, procurement, delivery, staging, shipping, deploying and testing of various technologies and related equipment). Work closely with local teams and other collaborating IT teams or other contractors and consultants to monitor project milestones and critical paths to identify potential jeopardy of project schedule. Identify ways to resolve schedule issues Produce project status reports for colleagues and clients Design, monitor, operate, and maintain optimal functioning processes and procedures of project facilities, and other related IT infrastructure/facilities Create or assess Project implementation plans, monitor and control change request process Create project documentation, guide team(s) in writing and documenting technical information/specifications on project or services. Follow-up on pending operational issues: review open trouble tickets, project implementation in coordination with institutional teams and coordinate any field activities Record/update all activities using the official project management tools, incident (trouble ticket) management system, inventory management systems, etc. Review customer business requirements and determine where support is needed relative to existing technical systems design Coordinate effective workflows and processes with one or more vendor and/or alliance partners Take personal responsibility and accountability for timely response to client queries, requests or needs, working to remove obstacles that may impede execution or overall success Take personal ownership and accountability to meet deadlines and achieve agreed-upon results, and demonstrate personal drive to do so Collaborate with other team members and contribute productively to the team's work and output, demonstrating respect for different points of view Support deployment and management of process(es) for identifying mission criticality of newly proposed business applications
Educational Qualifications and Experience:
Experience executing global IT Infrastructure and facility projects utilizing multiple technologies and frameworks Project management experience in planning, executing, and monitoring in a multi cultural environment Experience researching, investigating, evaluating, and qualifying new vendor solutions Working experience with staff and contractors in a global setting Experience working in a large, complex global organization in an IT related field Role Specific Experience in IT project management planning, executing, and monitoring complex projects in a cross-functional, multi-cultural environment Extensive experience with unified communications, VOIP, and video infrastructure projects utilizing multiple technologies and frameworks in a Global setting Experience with creating and following a work plan to develop and implement a Project Management tool solution Experience with technical reporting and management tools, such as Jira Experience in creating reports and communication for Senior Management audience Role Specific Experience in managing large IT projects, IT Governance, Data Warehouse projects, Financial Services domains, Portfolio Performance Management (PPM) systems, Clarity.
Certification Requirements:
PMP certification is required. Agile Certifications
