1st Shift CNC Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to perform setups and machining operations on Prototrack CNC mills and lathes to manufacture plastic parts for various industries.

Responsibilities

Perform setups on Prototrack CNC mills and lathes for manufacturing plastic parts.

Conduct machining operations including milling and turning, encompassing setups and changeovers.

Select and change out fixtures and tooling as needed.

Make basic programming edits on the CNC equipment.

Operate manual and semi-manual presses.

Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in CNC machining, specifically with mills and lathes.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Experience with Prototrack CNC mills and lathes.

Skilled in basic programming edits and operation of manual and semi-manual presses.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience running Bridgeport with Dx32 control.

Ability to perform programming edits at the controller or from scratch.

Previous mold-making experience.

Proficiency in manual machining.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Geneva, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
