We currently seek to fill the position of
Senior Accountant
to perform a variety of accounting and analysis activities including financial reporting, bank/account reconciliations, royalties, and monthly closing responsibilities for Kadant Black Clawson (KBC), as well as several sister companies including Valon Kone North America (VKNA), Kadant Noss (Sweden), and FrontWay (Sweden). This position would work regular office hours (M-F 8 to 5 or similar schedule) and be eligible for hybrid work after training is complete (in person 3 days per week and remote work 2 days per week).
Responsibilities
Responsible for milestone billings at VKNA. Prepares JE for payroll for VKNA, Noss, FrontWay. Prepares weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting for VKNA, Noss, FrontWay to corporate using HFM. Manages closing of payroll, AP, and AR. Manages project reserves at all assigned divisions. Prepares VKNA, Noss, and FrontWay account reconciliations. Manages all Intercompany pay and reconciliation processes and implements process improvements as needed for KBC, VKNA, Noss, FrontWay. Prepares bank reconciliations for VKNA, Noss, and FrontWay accurately and timely. Resolves identified issues on a timely basis. Reconciles monthly Concur payments for VKNA. Processes monthly duty drawback filings. Manages VKNA annual physical inventory. Qualifications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Demonstrates KBC values of personal accountability, discipline, trust, and proactive action. This position requires a four-year degree in Accounting or Finance with 5+ years of progressive experience in general accounting. Must possess broad accounting knowledge and be able to apply this knowledge improving processes both inside and outside of Finance. Excellent Microsoft Office skills are required, as well as extensive experience with a major ERP system. Knowledge of Sage FAS software is desired.
